other half has just gone off to an interview for a job he really wants only problem is that half an hour before he left he suddnely realised he hadn't read the second page of the letter properly and he needed to take his qualifications and his passport. I couldn't find either of them ;) I have torn the house apart since he left and have found the passport but still no degree!! I only saw the damn thing a month or so ago when I was looking for mine (which we never found damn moving from city to city for the past 13 years) so it looks like it has disappeared into the black hole of the house (many, many things seem to reside there)

Do you think they will interview him without them??

Hmm, how much of a whore am I?

Job offer No.1 - basic pay 8k more than current, pension, company car, no bonus, no private healthcare, 10 miles way from home, job excites me.

Job offer No.2 - basic pay 11k more than current, + 1.5k london weighting, pension, car allowance, bonus, private healthcare, 5 miles away, job doesn't excite me as much.

Other than attempting to up Job Offer No.1 (which i'm doing - well actually doing that with both...) any suggestions?

I don't suppose anyone here has ever been to the assessment days to become a holiday rep before?

I've got mine in 2 weeks and need to prepare a 2 minute presentation which is easy enough. I also wondered what else they're going to be doing considering it's from 9-4. I expect there'll be some team-work type exercises and maybe some roleplay and a basic interview, just wondered if anyone has any advice or experience for things like this.

just applied for an admin job in glasgow cheriff court.

the form is a bit annoying. they don't ask questions. they just give you a person specification and you have to tell them how you meet each thing.

it's stuff like organisational awareness, customer service, communication skills etc.

i really hope i get an interview.

does anyone think its worth going for a job that i don't fulfil all of the essential criteria. i found a job as a partnership co-ordinator for tackling issues for vulnerable women, the criteria states among other things, experience of working with vulnerable woman i.e. prostiutes/domestic abuse victims etc, i don't have this as such but have experience of partnership working to support substance misuse users, child protection issues i.e. developing protocols for unborn babies at risk, drug using parents and vulberable adults etc etc and mental health patients this type of thing,

im not really sure how closely you have to match the essential criteria, i would gauge i match about 85% of it, dunno if it worth the hassel of completing an application would love to do the job tho.
