ukslim
Finally, you may notice your flag, when fluttering in the wind, pulls away from the flag pole in the middle (i.e. away from the bungys). If you don't like it when it does that and want the edge of the flag to stay "lined up" with the flag pole all the time, cut a small slit just above the flag's bottom eyelet to make a "tube" out of that edge of the flag and thread the flag pole through the "tube". Use the bungys to secure as before. Edited April 13, 2010 by ukslim

LuckyS7rike
Having been inspired by this thread to have a truly original flag this year this is what I created using the zebra post technique, pretty pleased with how it turned out. Here it is out in this weekends sun, trying to reduce the amount of time I will have to iron "fix" it by a little /index.php?autocom=gallery&req=si&img=3153">

celticvillan
Bumping this thread. It helped me make my turtles masterpiece last year, and has helped me make another this year!
fdc
Awesome@ mccdyl001 and ukslimcheers guys, your pointers here have just helped a load - i literally logged on just then thinking "i'd like to make a flag this year (a kind of ban-the-bomb sign mixed with a St George's - in a kind of "reclaim the flag" type effort) and found this thread straight away! Salt_On_Everything
I don't know if it's been mentioned (sorry, 13 pages...) but I've never seen any other flag as good as the Purple Aki one in 2008...
