  1. It's an interesting thought RE Indie bands. On the podcast recently James, booker for Trees, stated "any band that's been in Kerrang or played on the radio 1 rock show is suitable for Trees" when describing who he'd consider booking. I'm not sure The Amazons or Crawlers fit that mould. I always assumed those "indie" bands that ended up playing were there because they were on the Truck, Ynot.etc circuit that runs throughout July. Amazons packed out the tent when they played so it certainly wasn't an unpopular booking.
  2. Some possible but would be very surpriosed if Balance and Composure stay in Europe for two weeks. Band is in addition to their day jobs so I don't expect a 2 week European tour.
  3. RE Citizen - the Feb tour was heavily pushed by Good as Gold group when it was announced so I assume they'll be on Trees target list for 24, and seems like calendars are lining up.
  4. Went to see Queens of the Stone Age at the O2 last night, had a seat in the gods. There was a lot more movement on the floor for some of the newer material than some of the earlier stuff. It seemed the floor got a lot looser from Smooth Sailing, considering there were a couple of old cuts up beforehand. The trio of Songs for the Deaf song encore had the whole floor moving mind. I thought they were great, they're clearly having a ball performing at the minute and that really adds to the show. They're a great headliner for Download. I think fans will love the show as they'll be expecting a 50% 2013 onwards set, however I see the argument that stereotypical Download casuals who are probably more familiar with the first few QOTSA records may come away complaining in June.
  5. Watched on Iplayer, really good. Looking forward to their London show later in the year. Couldn't help but notice they were using foam in-ears rather than proper in-ear monitors, do they always do that?
