    2025 Headliners

Thankfully Glastonbury's bar is set above having shite like Metro Boomin, Kid Laroi, Sublime, Fisher, Empire of the Sun, Lil Baby and Odesza on the line below outright headliners.
  2. Loaded the page about 3hrs ago and go the standard "Retrieve your registration" page. Reloaded it just now, and get: Unusual Traffic Detected We have detected unusual activity from the IP address or connection you are using. Not on a VPN/shared connection of any kind. Personal laptop and home connection with only me and the missus, and she hasn't tried the page at all. E: That is on Firefox. Works OK (for now) on Chrome.....

    2025 Headliners

Michael says a lot of things. Loads of them turn out to be demonstrably false. I doubt the festival turned them down. Especially with a month's notice to find a headliner. Considering they weren't touring in the first half of 2005 (or barely even gigging at all that year), it's almost certainly a completely bollocks story.

That's nice, but Michael hasn't had a role in booking Pyramid acts in a long time. The only on record quote of his about them (as far as I know) is: "They didn’t turn up. We’re not very forgiving for bands that don’t turn up."

    2025 Headliners

I'm aware of it. It likely has zero relevance on them being booked or not in the last 20-odd years.

Not that I think Green Day will do it, but they'd be a perfectly fine headliner. Plenty of hit songs, more than several previous headliners. Bit strange that they never did it before. Same with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Guess the IoW/R&L cash was more enticing.
  7. I think this is the issue. Folk not going to dance but to do a circuit checking it out. Usually you can find a venue with a bit of space as long as you're not *too* arsed but seeing a specific DJ. Arcadia was the same when we went on Sunday night. Felt like we were the only ones having a boogie. Could a partial solution be to have some of the SEC stages open earlier? IIcon, Genosys, NYC Downlow - generally start at 8pm, Temple at 10pm, various others at 8pm-ish. Could having them running from midday each day, especially Thursday, let some people get the SEC "out of their system" instead of going there after midnight? Do people shuffling through Shangri-la/Unfairground for a gawk really need to do that at 1am on Fri/Sat/Sun? I know it's not going to solve the problems, but it might make them a little less acute....
  8. Saw this Resident Advisor article posted elsewhere, and while it's primarily geared towards a "dance music" audience/areas, it makes some pretty spot on points IMO regarding the festival in general, poor booking policy for some acts, or areas like Avalon that have been left to wither, and the safety dangers that seem like a ticking timebomb. https://ra.co/features/4346 e: apologies, already a thread on this:
  9. All Together Now - Ireland - No arena as such (ie. no checks or security between main stages area and campsites) - Can bring alcohol wherever you want - Various food/comedy/art/poetry/wellness things - several smaller stages going until 4am (and a few unofficial ones later) - set in the grounds of a country estate, plenty of wooded areas and scenery - 25k capacity, age profile similar to Glastonbury, skews more towards mid-20s upwards, probably mostly people in their 30s but a good mix of all ages lineup this year: Times/stages for last year: https://clashfinder.com/s/atn2023/

    2025 Headliners

A sloppy, badly mixed b2b2b DJ set isn't headlining the Pyramid stage in 2025.

    2025 Headliners

He's an automatic headliner according to some people on here who live in a hype bubble. I've been on here nearly 10 years and the amount of hyberbolic nonsense about acts who will headline is as long as the bible. Wolf Alice were "definite headliners" a few years ago.... There's almost no chance Fred Again headlines the Pyramid in 2025, at the moment. He's certainly blown up in the last few years, but he's not bigger than Other headliner at the moment, or Pyramid sub if they want to put him there.

    SZA

No, we don't. There's zero evidence of that happening. Yet another efests bit of gossip now being treated as fact.

    2025 Headliners

Oh right, I thought it was referring to something already being in the pipeline. It's a bit like saying Fatboy Slim or Bean on Toast are doing 2027 or 2025 if a slot is available 😂 Can't see Fred headlining next year unless it's a last minute replacement. Could do Other headliner or Pyramid sub though.
