In an amazing reversal of message posted on The Charlatans website, they now say they are NOT headlining the Friday night at this June's already sold out Glastonbury Festival.
In a new message posted on their website yesterday it says "Due to circumstances beyond our control, extensively to do with other bands moving days or pulling out of the festival all together, The Charlatans will now be appearing on the Main Stage on the Saturday (29 June). There will be a new headline act following The Charlatans."
We believe this is all genuine, but it does show the danger of believing all that you read. The real line-up will be exclusively revealed in Q Magazine and The Guardian on 19th June.
The Festival has now sold all tickets for this year. It's important that those without tickets understand why they should stay away: if they do, they'll be a Festival for them next year.
