David Bowie has cancelled all shows in July due to a "trapped/pinched nerve in his shoulder and to prevent possible further injury". This means he's no longer able to perform at T in the Park.
T in the Park have issued a statement, given below in full:
Were disappointed by todays news that David Bowie will not be able to perform at this years T in the Park due to ill health, and everyone at the festival sends him our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
This year we have one of the strongest ever T in the Park line ups across all stages, and on Saturday night well see our other headliners The Darkness stepping up to close the Main Stage, which will be a real treat for the Balado audience.
Earlier in the day, Saturdays Main Stage is set to offer an amazing experience for music fans, with performances from Starsailor, Faithless, Pink, the Black Eyed Peas and The Beta Band to look forward to. Ticket holders are set for a memorable weekend and the usual fantastic T in the Park party atmosphere.
