Glastonbury Festival 2005

Friday 24th to Sunday 26th June 2005
Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 4AZ, England MAP
£125 - SOLD OUT
Daily capacity: 150,000

Following the success of this year's Glastonbury band competition - where five bands won a slot on one of the five major stages at the Festival - the competition is being repeated for 2005.

All the winners this year gave great performances at the Festival, and some have now gone on to sign record deals. Other entrants also got to play at the Festival last year - over 30 bands in all.

Each band entering for 2005 will need to send in a CD and completed Application Form, along with a cheque for £11.75 (£10 + VAT) no later than 10th January 2005. The payment is to cover the time, effort and expenses of the competition, and ensures that every demo is listened to.

Everyone who applies will be sent a letter to inform them whether they were successful or not by February 25th. The decision of the judges is final. The competition is open to performers from Great Britain and Ireland only.

Judges will listen to a maximum of 3 tracks from every entry. Six entrants per category will be invited to the Competition Finals held at the Pilton Working Men’s Club on 4th, 5th March for the New Tent and Dance Tent, and on 18th and 19th March for Acoustic Tent and Jazzworld Stage.

Good luck!!
