Glastonbury's New Tent is to be renamed the John Peel Stage, according to a report on BBC News.
"It's very appropriate because it's all the sort of music that John would have chosen," Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis told BBC Somerset Sound.
John Peel had the knack of ignoring hype, and letting the music do the talking. And if anywhere in Britian has a similar attitude towards music, then it's surely Glastonbury Festival.
eFestivals is sure that the thanks of thousands - if not hundreds of thousands - of Glastonbury attendees over the years go to Michael Eavis for announcing this most fitting tribute to John Peel, who'll be very sadly missed.
