Radiohead not for V

Although there's been lots of rumours floating around for months that Radiohead are to play V, we can reveal that they're not ... yet, anyhow.

Teletext's Planet Sound are reporting the following:

Radiohead have confirmed they've been offered a headlining slot at V Festival - but have denied they're definitely playing the event in August.

"They've been approached," the band's PR told PS. "However, V is just one of a number of offers the band have had for summer events. They haven't decided anything for any of them."

So there you have it: they might play, but so far nothing is definite.

Other bands that might possibly to play at the twin site V Festivals this year are The Who, Keane and Kasabian. The official news is expectwd in March (when tickets will also go on sale) - we'll of course have the full details when they're available.
