Latitude - the new festival with more than just bands - which takes place at Henham Park Estate in Suffolk from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July 2006 has announced more of the entertainment across the weekend.

Newly confirmed for the music line-up are Tom Verlaine, British Sea Power, Guillemots, Stephen Fretwell, The Crimea, Cord, Giant Drag, Polly Scattergood, and New Cassettes. Latitude has three line music arenas, and features acts such as Snow Patrol, Antony & The Johnsons, Mogwai, Patti Smith, Jose Gonzalez, The Lemonheads and more - for all the music line-up to date, see here.
Across the weekend the Film & Music Tent will play host to a full schedule of specifically chosen shorts, art, and silent films and visuals, accompanied by live music, videos, dancers and DJ’s. Unmissable rockumentaries, a tribute to Serge Gainsbourg and inflatable tombstones are just some of the weird and wonderful things on offer in the music and film tent at Latitude.

The Stand-Up Poetry Tent has poetry and comedy sketches alongside Hip Hop, slam poets, raconteurs, spoken word, lyricism, storytelling, rappers, and more. Already confirmed are Murray Lachlan Young, Patti Smith, Lemn Sissay, Aisle16, Luke Wright, Attila The Stockbroker, Martin Newell, Francesca Beard, Janet Hamill, Niall O’Sullivan, Clare Pollard, Mr Gee, Salina Saliva Godden, Thick Richard, Rachel Pantechnicon, Nii Parkes, Ian McKenzie the Chav Poet, Byron Vincent, Penny Broadhurst, Roger Lloyd Pack, Inua 'Phaze' Ellams, John Osborne, and David Jay.

And the Vox ‘n’ Roll tent at has added Will Hodgkinson, Will Hodgkinson, and Joolz Denby alongside the likes of Howard Marks, Toby Litt, Tibor Fischer, Jon Robb and The Idler for the informal readings, forums and discussions on music, albums, gigs, and the industry at large.
