Latitude - the new festival with more than just bands - which takes place at Henham Park Estate in Suffolk from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July 2006 has announced more of the entertainment across the weekend.
Newly confirmed for the music line-up are Gomez, Archie Bronson Outfit, King Creosote, Declan O'Rouke, and Richard Swift. Latitude has three line music arenas, and features acts such as Snow Patrol, Antony & The Johnsons, Mogwai, Patti Smith, Jose Gonzalez, The Lemonheads and more - for all the music line-up to date, see here.
The Royal Court Theatre will make an exclusive performance of Angry Now, 5-minutes plays from emerging writers on diverse themes ranging from child poverty and disillusionment with New Labour to dodgy drivers and sexual impotence. Elsewhere there's also the Small Change Theatre Company, an Acting Workshop, Laughing Lizard bring a modern take on traditional nursery rhymes, Malcolm Tierney and Jonathon Barlow with a satirical look at the aspirations of the luvvie world of acting, Philippa Fordham performing a series of comedy monologues, Ben Moore 'Coelacanth', Melanie Wilson 'Simple Girl',
Marcus Brigstocke brings his topical comedy talk show The Late Edition to Latitude's Literary Tent, where he'll be joined by Steve Furst, Andre Vincent, and Robin Ince, while the Comedy Tent has added performances from Andre Vincent, Patrick Monahan, Jen Brister, Russell Howard, Alun Cochrane, Richard Morton, Simon Evans, Michael McIntyre, and Hugh Lennon.
The Vox n Roll tent at has added Nick Kent, and Will Hodgkinson, alongside the previously announced Howard Marks, Toby Litt, Tibor Fischer, Jon Robb and The Idler, for the informal readings, forums and discussions on music, albums, gigs, and the industry at large.
The Film and Music Tent is an alternative world of film and music courtesy of Halloween Music and Film Club and Noise of Art. Across the weekend the tent will play host to a full schedule of specifically chosen shorts, art, and silent films and visuals, accompanied by live music, videos, dancers and DJ's.
Finally, newly announced for the Stand-Up Poetry Tent are John Cooper Clarke, A F Harrold, Bernard Towers, Joe Dunthorne, Jacob Sam-La Rose, Polar Bear, John Berkavitch, Rhian Edwards, Olly Gruner, Tom Sutton, Dave Bamford, Tim Clare, Jenny Lindsay, Ross Sutherland, Ben Mellor, Nathan 'Nafe' Jones, Gavin Osborn, Chris Hicks, El Crisis, Nick Holloway, Jude Simpson, Ghost Story Hour, Tamsin Kendrick, and Kim Trusty.
