All Tomorrow's Parties have announced a new event to happen at Butlin's in Minehead, Somerset from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th May 2007.

Called All Tomorrow's Parties vs the Fans, ATP will curate half the line-up, and the rest of the line-up is up to you, The Fans. Each person who buys a ticket to the festival will be asked to submit their top ten wish-list of who they would like to see. Voting on these names will start on Friday 24th November.

When a person buys their tickets, they're given details of a website - that person will log into a page, where they will be able to email out voting forms to each person in their apartment. Each person then needs to use that form to submit their top ten bands, and each week the received votes will be tallied and listed on www.atpfestival.com in order of popularity. ATP will then start asking bands from the top of the list if they'd like to perform - note that this means the earlier the vote the more the vote will mean. ATP warns voters not to forget the venue size (6,000) and not to suggest whose profile is too large for that venue, not to suggest acts that are dead or have split up, and that just because a band is at the top of the list does not mean they will play - they have to be available and have to want to do it.

To kick things off, ATP have confirmed the following acts to play at this event: Built To Spill, Sparklehorse, Death Vessel, The Notwist, Do Make Say Think, Akron Family, and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Tickets are on sale, and as normal with these roomed accomodation events, tickets are booked per room or per chalet. The rooms - which offer either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge (more like a hotel room) - are available to book as 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 berths, and work out at £120 per person. Self Catering (chalet type) accommodation is available in 4, 6 or 7 berths and offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV. These work out at £140 per person. Click here to buy tickets now.

Onsite facilities include brand-name food takeaways, a cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a huge wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.
