A licence has just been granted for a new festival, created by the team responsible for one of the oldest features of Glastonbury festival.

The Croissant Neuf Summer Party will be taking place from noon on Friday 17th August to midnight on Sunday 19th August, at a secret location on the Mid Welsh borders.

The festival will maintain an environmentally friendly ethos. In keeping with The Croissant Neuf tradition, certain aspects of the festival will be ran entirely on wind and solar power.

Like Lost Vagueness and Glade, the Croissant Neuf Summer Party is one of a number of festivals to stem from Glastonbury. Expect to see a range of different musical styles, including Cajun, Irish, Trance, Breton, flamenco, Soul and Salsa.

No acts have been confirmed for the festival, but acts rumoured to play include Boat Band (Cajun), FOS Brothers (Irish), Nick Wilkinson (Flamenco), Biggles Wartime Band (Demented), Banco de Gaia, Dragonsfly (Breton), Dubblehead (read Riven/Global/Ozrics), and Jerry Cahill (guitar wizzo).

Tickets are not on sale yet, but will be priced at £80 for adults and £40 for kids aged 5 - 14. Children under 5 years old will be able to go free.
