The BBC will launch a new stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

24 acts will play on The BBC Introducing... stage, which will feature UK artists nominated by BBC new music shows all across the country and picked by a panel of music experts (including Radio 1 DJs Steve Lamacq, Bobby Friction, Ras Kwame and Huw Stephens, and Glastonbury's own Emily Eavis).

The stage will be located in the new Park area of the festival and will start at 3pm and run until 11pm each day.

Acts confirmed to play on the Friday are Jag, Tigerstyle, Riff Raff, Broke'N'£nglish, Riz MC, JME, Breaking The Illusion, and Tor.

Playing on the Saturday will be Ben Sharpa, How's My Pop, New Cassettes, OK Tokyo, The Ting Tings, Headliners, The Neon Plastix, and The Ripps.

Finally, the acts playing on the closing day of the festival (Sunday) are Cate Le Bon, Sam Isaac, Eugene McGuinness, Rose Kemp, A Silent Film, Doll & the Kicks, Pint Shot Riot, and Radio Luxembourg.

Glastonbury Festival will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June (with the gates opening next Wednesday).
