V Festival which takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August has unveiled a brand new area, the 'Virgin Mobile Sessions', a platform for new acts.
The artists playing the Virgin Mobile Sessions Tent are: Tom Baxter, Candi Payne, Ross Copperman, Amy Macdonald, Kate Walsh, Emma Pollock, Scouting for Girls, Ting Tings, Jamie Scott and the Town, Newton Faulkner, Bens Brother, New York Fund, Paul Steel, Tiger Picks, The Script, David Jordan, Joe Lean and Jing Jang Jong and Terra Naomi.
Bob Angus, Festival Director, comments: "The addition of the Virgin Mobile Sessions Tent is one of the most exciting elements of this years V. We want to provide the festival with the most innovative new music around and stage it in an intimate environment while capturing that iconic festival atmosphere. Im 100 per cent certain weve achieved this and look forward to seeing it in action in five weeks time!"
In other V Festival news, there's been a swap around on the Channel 4 Stage. The Kooks will now headline Hylands Park on Saturday and Weston Park on Sunday, while Basement Jaxx will headline Weston Park on Saturday and Hylands Park on Sunday.
