Glastonbury ticket details revealed

Glastonbury Festival have - via their offical sponsor Q Magazine (here) - revealed the ticket buying details for this year. We've checked these details directly with Glastonbury Festival, who tell us that things might yet change as everything still has to be finalised, and they'll be issuing a press release with the firm details in the near future.

According to Q, tickets will go on sale on Sunday 6th April, with the time still to be confirmed (though it's likely to be the same as for last year, 9am). The same as last year, each person wanting a ticket will need to pre-register their details with a photograph during February at Glastonbury's official website, to ensure that successful buyers aren't able to sell their tickets on.

Glastonbury 2008 will take place from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June, with the gates opening on Wednesday 25th. It's thought that the licenced number of people allowed on site will be the same as for 2007 (177,500) and that the number of tickets on sale will also be the same, with 132,500 weekend tickets available, as well as 5,000 Sunday-only tickets for locals. The difference between the licenced number and the number of tickets on sale is taken up with staff sand performers.
