£30 for Friday or Saturday

Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza returns on the weekend of Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August. Michael Eavis (of Glastonbury Festival) has announced the line up for the three summer evening concerts - and that the classical evening, which has traditionally been held on the Saturday, will this year move to the Sunday.

Friday night will be cool for cats with Squeeze and Scottish singer Lulu entertaining the crowds. Saturday has guitar pop band The Feeling and another act still to be confirmed. Sunday night's concert features world famous Charles Hazlewood conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Alexander Sitkovetsky, violin, return to the Abbey. This year Charles will select a programme which includes works by Vivaldi, Ravel and Sibelius which will culminate in a spectacular firework display.

Michael Eavis has always ensured that the production quality of the Extravaganza is second to none. The sound is always excellent and visually these concerts are stunning, with large daylight screens, creative lighting, fireworks every night and water fountains on the Sunday.

Glastonbury Abbey is set amid 36 acres of parkland in the centre of the town of Glastonbury, Somerset, the magnificent ruins of the Abbey provide a perfect setting for these three concerts. This unique event has grown in stature over the years and is already a high spot in the musical calendar of the South West. It's a real occasion, with fireworks, lights, candelabra and picnics.

Tickets will be priced at £30 for the Friday, £30 for the Saturday, and £28 for the Sunday. Tickets for children aged 6 to 16 get in for half the price. Children under 6 get in free. If you buy 10 tickets for one night, you get one free. Tickets go on sale Monday 14th April.

eFestivals will have links for buying the tickets when they go on sale and tickets are also on sale from Glastonbury Festival Office, Glastonbury Abbey, and from Tourist Information Centres in Glastonbury, Street, Wells and Shepton Mallet.
