The latest additions include Southampton-based indie rockers Delays, York's dirty bluesmen Hijack Oscar, high energy teen Sheffield quartet Rolo Tomassi, Hereford hip-hop from The Anomalies, big beat sample master Esser, London nine piece edgy surf poppers The Bookhouse Boys, and Liverpool feel good pop band The Hot Melts.
This year the main stage is headlined by Ash, with acts already confirmed including Black Kids, Late Of The Pier, Sam Isaac, Natty, Noah and The Whale, The Infadels, Alphabeat, Parka, One Night Only, YouMeAtSix, Cartel, Outcry Collective, Glamour Of The Kill, Slaves To Gravity, and Beyond This Oath.
Last year's Middlesbrough Music Live saw a record crowd of over forty five thousand people attend the Centre Square which will once again be the focal point of Middlesbrough Music Live in 2008. "It's one of the finest town centre performance locations in Europe." says Middlesbrough Council's David Budd. "The success of the BBC's Proms In The Park last September emphasised what a wonderful site it is."
Now in its ninth year, Middlesbrough Music Live is a FREE one day festival organised and funded by Middlesbrough Council which takes places in the heart of Middlesbrough on Sunday 1st June 2008.
