Guardian Lounge line-up announced for Glastonbury Festival

includes The Wombats, Newton Faulkner, Estelle and Los Campesinos!

The line-up for the Guardian Lounge tent at this year's Glastonbury Festival has been revealed and includes The Wombats with special guest, Estelle, and Los Campesinos! all set to make an appearance. The line-up was revealed on the Guardian website (click here) and includes a mention of Kasabian although they are not in the published line-up; eFestivals is currently trying to get clarification on whether they are appearing or not.

This year the Guardian Lounge will have an 'old mansion' theme, and will host DJ sets from Hercules and the Love Affair and Guilty Pleasures. Other confirmed artists include Billy Bragg, Swedish pop star Annie, and Helsinki, the side project from Babyshambles' bassist Drew McConnell.

The Guardian Lounge will once again return to its usual location on the path between the Pyramid Stage and the John Peel Stage.

As well as being available to buy online, Glastonbury Festival tickets, are also available to buy in HMV from today at store in Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, and London. Ticket buyers just need to provide their name, pay across the counter and make sure that they bring personal photographic ID to the Festival when they arrive. This ensures that they comply with the Festival's anti-touting policy. Tickets are subject to booking fee, with a maximum of six tickets per customer. (At this moment tickets can still be bought online - the details are below).
To buy tickets online by credit card or debit card, all it takes is to register your details with photograph online here and then purchase tickets from www.seetickets.com.

Please note that there will be no editing facility for late registrations, so please ensure that all your details are correct, and that your photo is of a suitable size and standard, before submitting your details. Registration, involves filling in a simple form and supplying a passport photograph, and full details can be found at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.

To see the huge range of acts playing the Festival, over the five days from Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th June held at Worthy Farm, Pilton, near Glastonbury, Somerset, including headliners Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, The Verve, as well as Amy Winehouse, Neil Diamond, Leonard Cohen, Manu Chao, more new music acts than you could possibly see, a dance village covering every genre, and still many hundreds more music acts, circus, theatre, cabaret, poetry, a huge kids field, and weird happenings around every corner - take a look at the stage/area listings, or the Glastonbury 2008 line-ups.

Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset over the weekend of Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June, with the site open to ticket-holders from Wednesday 25th.

Remember that this year the Festival wants festival-goers to work them to Love the farm, Leave no Trace by travelling light, only bringing what you're willing to carry home. When you buy your tent and camping gear, don't buy the cheapest, get something you'll want to keep. when it's time to go, pack up your stuff and take it away.
