Latitude Festival has announced more acts for the Literary Arena which from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July is home to literary luminaries with readings and performances from contemporary authors. WordTheatre have announced their line-up of actors performing at Henham Park Estate in Suffolk.

WordTheatre are a non-profit organisation dedicated to keeping the love of language and literature alive through the wonders of oral storytelling. They create and produce live events featuring literary works performed by authors and big name actors.

This year they bring to the Literary Arena a who's who of established household name actors who have starred on TV, cinema, and theatre shows from all around the world.

The bill includes actors and stand-up comedians including Ben Chaplin, Ian Hart, Juliet Stevenson, Maureen Lipman, David Soul, Kerry Fox, Sally Hawkins, Alastair Mackenzie,Marcia Firesten, Ray Panthaki, Sarah Kendall, Henry Naylor, Richard Ayoade, Harry Treadaway, and John Schwab.

Latitude has also announced the three brand new plays commissioned specifically for the Theatre Arena from three of Britain's most exciting writers. The nabokov theatre company will be presenting works by John Donnelly, Joel Horwood, and Alexandra Wood.

nabokov is a new writing theatre company dedicated to commissioning, developing and producing backlash theatre, which is new work for the stage that offers an antagonistic response to contemporary agendas, trends and events.

Latitude also has an extensive bill of musical acts headlined by Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, and Interpol and the likes of Julian Cope, Martha wainwright, British Sea Power, Blondie, Death Cab For Cutie, Seasick Steve, Crystal Castles, Elbow, The Breeders, Amadou And Mariam, and M.I.A.
