The line-up of laughs for the eFestivals Comedy Tent at the Summer Sundae Weekender which takes place at De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August has been revealed.
The tent will feature top name comedians including BBC Radio 4's satirical songwriter and stand-up comedian Mitch Benn, stand-up comedian, impressionist, actor and writer Robin Ince, and comedian and part-time GP, Paul Sinha.
They are joined by Al Pitcher, Tony Law, Greg Davies, Barry Castagnola, Ray Peacock, Stephen Carlin, Christian Reilly, Sol Bernstein, Matt Reed, Silky, Kent Valentine, and Robin Ince's School For Gifted Children featuring Martin White, and Waen Shepherd.
The eFestivals Comedy Tent will also appeal to kids and immature adults alike with two family friendly shows programmed by Leicester Comedy Festival, the UK's longest running comedy festival. So if you're looking for some laughs in amongst the many varied musical riches on offer, you needn't look too far!
Also announced today is the line-up for the Bathysphere Stage which collects together everything that is electronic and cutting edge in the musical landscape today offering something a little more challenging and offbeat than the usual fare.
The line-up includes the chaotic, avant garde stylings of Steve Auxilec & Eden Grey, dubstep and grime from Phaeleh, experimental sonic adventures with Lothar Ohlmeier & Isambard Khroustaliov, and video artist Frank Bretschneider.
The other eclectic acts announced include Powerplant, Philip Jeck (Sevenlegspider), Origami Biro, Threep, Mijim, Tullis Rennie featuring Bella Ford, and Celestial.
The music on offer includes headliners Supergrass, and The Coral Acoustic Set, with support acts including Simian Mobile Disco - Live, Roisin Murphy, Whitest Boy Alive, John Power, Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir, The Heavy, Lightspeed Champion, Reverend And The Makers, Henry Rollins, José González, Joan As Police Woman, Howling Bells, Dodgy, Tom Baxter, King Creosote, Of Montreal, Nina Nastasia, Jeffrey Lewis, Rachel Unthank, Dengue Fever, The Count & Sinden, Dirty Projectors, James Yorkston & The Athletes, Royworld, and more. Day tickets are now available priced at £40 for Saturday and Sunday and £35 for Friday. Weekend tickets are on sale, and the prices are as follows:-
