End of the Road Festival which takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens,Tollard Royal, Salisbury, Wiltshire have announced the comedy line-up for The Pavilion over the weekend of Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September.

Saturday's billing of stand up comedy and sketches includes Skins writer and founder of the cult alt-comedy club Book Club Robin Ince, Tommy & the Weeks who star on BBC3's Comedy Shuffle, stand up comedian Adrian Poynton, Scottish newcomer Stephen Carlin, quirky Irish storyteller Maeve Higgins, and emerging BBC New Comedy Award winner Dan Antopolski.

Sunday's line-up is brought to the festival by the Storytellers' Club with TV presenter and comic Rufus Hound, stand up comedian and storyteller James Dowdeswell, festival favourite Josie Long, Terry Saunders who will be performing his new feature-length show 'Figure 8' in full, and Australian singer / songwriter Darren Hanlon.

As well as straight up stand-up there will be a day dedicated to comedy storytelling and, late on Saturday night, the laughter will be replaced by the Storytellers' Club presenting Scarytellers' Club with late night ghost stories and spooky tales around an imaginary campfire (bring a torch).

Storytellers' Club is a London club night which has toured to Melbourne and Edinburgh, and now makes its End of the Road debut late on Saturday night, with a collection of spooky stories, performers will include those from the Comedy Stage, and possibly some surprise festival guests.

The music acts previously confirmed for this year include Conor Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band, with Dirty Three, Mercury Rev and Celexico who are all to headline. Other acts appearing include Two Gallants, Micah P Hinson, Low, Dirty Three, British Sea Power, American Music Club, Billy Childish, Akron/Family, Kimya Dawson, Darren Hayman (Darren and Jack Play Hefner Songs), FM Belfast, Laura Marling, Devon Sproule, Angelo Spencer, Kelley Stoltz, Mountain Goats, Sun Kil Moon/Mark Kozelek, Jeffrey Lewis, Jason Molina (Magnolia Electric Co.), A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Bob Log III, The Wave Pictures, Friska Viljor, and Woodpigeon. Tickets are on sale, priced at £105 for anyone aged 13 or over, with children under-12 tickets priced at £15. Live-in vehicles cost £30 and Car park £5 (pay on arrival), click here to buy.

The Larmer Tree Gardens is about 2.5-3 hours drive from London, and falls on the border between North Dorset and Wiltshire, fairly close to Stonehenge. It's a beautiful venue with gorgeous views and with peacocks and huge parrots roaming / flying around freely both inside the gardens and in the field.
