One Big Tree plays host to The Fortunate Sons, Little Kicks, Mash, Loose Joints, and more

Hydro Connect festival which takes place at Inveraray Castle, Loch Fyne, Argyll, Scotland over the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st August have announced the acts playing Kopparberg's 'One Big Tree'.

Across the weekend the Kopparberg residents will be playing between acoustic sets from Chris Blair, The Fortunate Sons, Haight Ashbury and Edinburgh's The Action Group who will be playing on Friday. Then Juno, Andrew Horne, and Loose Joints will take up the decks with The Kopparberg Session Musicians playing alongside, adding sax and trumpet or percussion to the music supplied by the DJs. They'll continue into the very early hours.

The Lucy Kerr Trio kick off Saturday's festivities at the One Big Tree arena, and acoustic sets come courtesy of Ross Clark, Pearl and the Puppets, The Ads and Injuns. When the sun starts to set over Loch Fyne, Andy Taylor will be getting behind the decks, and headlining One Big Tree will be electro new comers Killer Kitsch.

Sunday afternoon has Muddy Face, Punch and the Apostles, dBass and Little Kicks. Then Kobai, Tokyoblu (DJ set), and Mash will take to the decks.

'One Big Tree' will provide a unique space with a tree at the centre around which ample seating will provide the opportunity to enjoy a drink under the shade of the tree whilst enjoying the relaxed beats from some of Scotland's DJs and bands.

The line-up over the three days consists of Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Paulo Nutini, Spiritualized, Manic Street Preachers, Bloc Party, Goldfrapp, Conor Oberst & The Magic Valley Band, The Gutter Twins, Duffy, Joan As Policewoman, Gossip, Nick Cave's Grinderman, Amy MacDonald, Elbow, The Gossip, Howling Bells, Mercury Rev, The Coral (Acoustic), Roots, The Breeders, Levellers, and Camera Obscura, Sia and more. As well as acts there will also be an enchanted forest party, a chill out tree area and 'gourmet food' on offer, including Loch Fyne Oysters, Venison Burgers, Bumble Pudding as well as Fyne Ales and 70 whiskies to sample in the Whisky bar. There are also bespoke camping options, an array of alternative entertainment, and spa facilities on offer.

Hydro Connect is located an hour and a half from Glasgow and two hours from Edinburgh, making it a great day out. For the green-friendly option you can also travel by coach. Day trippers can sit back and relax and let Citylink take them around Loch Lomond to the festival site.
