Following two sell-out forest concerts this year, the classical singer has announced she will be performing two further woodland dates next Summer with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Showing her classical crossover appeal the mezzo soprano has achieved global sales of more than three million. This autumn she released her sixth album, 'Sacred Arias' which saw Katherine sing in a wide variety of styles, from the great arias of opera to the classics of Hollywood. The singer explained, "I've never done a themed album before, I've always tended to collect requests and other songs, but these ones came very naturally and easily to me."

Commenting on the concerts, Katherine said, "Following my forest tour debut this year I am really looking forward to the opportunity of performing in some more of these beautiful and unique locations in 2009."

Her fifth album, Rejoice, outsold such pop acts as Girls Aloud and the Spice Girls. All four of her previous studio albums went to the top of the classical charts, making her the only artist to hold the top four positions simultaneously. At 28-years old she is already the fastest-selling soprano ever.

Katherine Jenkins with the National Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest, Near Goudhurst, Kent on Sunday 7th June, and Delamere Forest, Delamere, Cheshire on Sunday 14th June.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 28th November, priced at £32.50 for either show and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then.
