The early bird tickets which went on sale today for the 10th anniversary of Wakestock Abersoch (North Wales) have already sold out. 500 tickets were made available this morning for the festival held in Cardigan Bay, North Wales, an event that combines the sport of wakeboarding, beaches, and live music & DJs happening from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July 2009.

In 2009 Relentless Wakestock will be celebrating their 10th birthday. The first one held back in 2000 started off small with a few hundred people in an overflow yacht club car park in Abersoch, then moved to just outside the village to a new bigger site, overlooking Cardigan Bay and the Snowdonia mountain range, where it has grown each year and now entertains over 20,000 people.

The early bird tickets were priced at £85 for a weekend ticket, or £110 for a ticket with camping, with a campervan ticket costing £40. Single night tickets and more weekend tickets will be available on Tuesday 3rd March, 2009.

The site overlooks Cardigan Bay and across to Snowdonia and has facilities to entertain over 10,000 people each night.

Note: This is a 16 or over event. Photo ID may be required to gain entry to the festival site, and may also be required to prove you are 18 & over to purchase alcohol. Under 16's will NOT be permitted entry to the festival site, even if an adult accompanies them.

Camping is next to the festival site and is available from Thursday (from 5pm) to Sunday (until 5pm). Camping is limited so it is better to book well in advance as space runs out quickly.

Courtesy buses usually run all weekend between the music site at Penrhos, the wakeboard competitions and Abersoch, Pwllheli and Nefyn, so if you don’t want to camp you will still be able to get home if you live locally.
