American metallers Slipknot have confirmed that they will be appearing at the heavy rock festival Download on their website (here).
The nine-member Iowa metal band have been on their masked crusade for a decade now, and will be returning to Download for the first time since their 2005 appearance to showcase their latest album 'All Hope Is Gone', as well as crowd favourites from their previous three albums.
As previously reported, this year's Download festival returning for its seventh year, over the weekend of Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2009, will see changes made to the site layout due to site development at Donington Park for the future formula One racing events, with the overall site plan for this year becoming much more compact.
There are no acts confirmed yet for 2009, for the rumours of who might be playing, please click here.
