The Human League have announced a one off date as part of The Forestry Commission's 2009 Forest Tours.

The Human League
Electro-pop's first international superstars will perform the East Anglian date this summer at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, near Brandon, Suffolk on Thursday 9th July 2009.

Fronted by lead vocalist Philip Oakey and backing singers Joanne Catherall and Susan Sulley, the distinctive band released a string of hits like 'Mirror Man', 'Louise', 'The Lebanon', 'Human', 'Love Action (I Believe In Love)', and '(Keep Feeling) Fascination'. Their million-selling classic single 'Don't You Want Me' from the album 'Dare', brought the band transatlantic success.

Commenting on the booking, Peter Rawlinson for the Forestry Commission said, "I am delighted we have secured The Human League as part of this year's live music programme. They are the defining act of their genre and with their stack of hits this should provide a real 'friends reunited' night out."

The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences and making them relevant to people in new ways. The forest tour is self-sustaining, paying for itself, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 13th March priced at £29.50, and eFestivals will have links to buy them when they are on sale.
