80s star Nik Kershaw will be bringing his hits including 'I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' to Fairport's Cropredy Convention.

Cropready has announced two new additions to this year's line-up. Saturday will see 80s hit maker Nik Kershaw airing his singles like 'Wouldn't It Be Good', 'The Riddle', and 'The One And Only', which was a hit for Chesney Hawkes. Also, newly confirmed for Friday's line-up is Midlands-born singer-songwriter Scott Matthews.

They join a line-up that includes Steve Winwood, Buzzcocks, Ken Nicol & Phil Cool, 4 Square, Richard Thompson, Seth Lakeman, The Dodge Brothers, John Jorgensen Band, Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Fairport Convention & special guests, Ralph McTell, Dreadzone, Feast of Fiddles, and more.

The friendly three-day festival of rock, pop and acoustic music is set in the Oxfordshire countryside. Located adjacent to Cropredy village, five miles north of Banbury, and taking place from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th August 2009. It's a very friendly festival with great ales, no sell-out out to rampant commercialism, and no huge ticket prices.

An adult weekend ticket £78
A weekend camping ticket £30
Adult Friday, and Saturday ticket £68
Adult Friday/Saturday camping ticket (for 14th & 15th August only) £25
Saturday only day ticket £48
Tickets for children under 12 years of age, are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult purchasing a ticket.

Unlike many other festivals, here you can park your vehicle next to your tent. You MUST have a concert ticket for the day you arrive to camp or caravan. Space on the campsites is for concert goers only. If you wish to camp with friends or family you must meet up somewhere off-site and arrive together as spaces cannot be saved.
