The Hot Rats, Stars Of Truck And Field, Stornoway are the latest acts confirmed for this year's Truck festival.

Stornoway
The Hot Rats are Gaz and Dan from Supergrass' new side-project with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich – one of their first ever gigs will be in the cowshed at Truck on 'Oxford Day' which is the Sunday of the festival. The same day sees Stars Of Track And Field a one-off local supergroup with Mark Gardener of Ride joining together with Robin and Joe of Goldrush, and Oxford local boys Stornoway.

They join Supergrass, and Ash, who have been announced as the headliners with Red Light Company, Detroit Social Club, Wild Beasts, Wintersleep, The Joy Formidable, Hjaltalin, Truckers Of Husk, The Candyskins, DJ Food & DK, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Yacht, And So I Watch You From Afar, Pulled Apart By Horses, Calories, Chew Lips, Sportsday Megaphone, nervous test_pilot, Broken Records, and more. In other news, after lengthy negotiations with the council, Truck has completed a licence amendment for this year. This means they are able to increase their site capacity from 5000 to 6000. After taking into account the 100 bands, and various stewards, crew, Rotary Club members, vicars, etc, the organisers are able to release a further 700 weekend tickets, and 300 dayTrucker tickets (for each day).

The event is called Truck Festival because bands originally used two trucks put together as the main stage. Truck takes place over the weekend of Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th at Hill Farm, Steventon, near Abingdon, in Oxfordshire.

Tickets are on sale, and as last year, kids go free (under 14 accompanied by an adult). An adult weekend ticket is priced at £70 including camping and workshops. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult, max 2 per adult, and still need tickets.
