With less than two weeks until this year's Global Gathering organisers have announced that Birmingham-based graffiti artist PoSh oNe will be adding colour to this year's event.
Festival goers can catch him doing his work in real time on the vintage railway carriage which will also simultaneously house top hiphop artists and DJs. PoSh oNe will also be treating Global fans to customised festival apparel free of charge throughout the weekend.
Heavily influenced by Futura, the don of graffiti scribes in the US, PoSh oNe's unique and distinctive style is a mesh of abstract, scrawl and geometric shapes whilst incorporating spray paints, acrylics and pens to express himself. PoSh oNe has previously performed live at various events such as in front of audiences at club nights around the UK.
He has also customized skateboards, snowboards, trainers, and mopeds ensuring his artwork can be seen on the move and will be offering his services to the crowd at Global Gathering. He said of his work, "I like to observe my surroundings. From nature, to people, to music, it's all relative to me and I try to interpret that in my work."
Festival organiser James Algate says of the addition: "It's so great to have local talent involved with GlobalGathering. Not only does this festival pride itself with state of the art sound but also looks to dish out a visual feast with the likes of graffiti artist PoSh oNe. This live art installation is another example of how GlobalGathering is setting the standard for festivals when it comes to providing extra entertainment for their fans."
