Pavement, and Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar announced for Roskilde

Reunited slacker rock band Pavement, and Balkan ska fusion band Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar are the latest acts to be confirmed for Roskilde festival.

One of the US's best loved indie bands Pavement have reformed and will bring their laid-back slacker style indie brand in a weird combination of college rock, cosmic Americana and evergreen lofi pop. They join previous Roskilde reunions such as My Bloody Valentine, Pixies and The Velvet Underground.

Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar have the German pioneer Shantel leading a politically-charged Balkan party mixed up with ska, reggae, and pop.

The pair are the latest additions to a line-up that has Muse, NOFX, and Danish acts The Kissaway Trail, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, and C.V. Jorgensen already confirmed for the Danish festival

Roskilde is continental Europe's biggest festival taking place for four days from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th July 2010. There are also warm up events which run from Saturday 27th June until the start of the festival.
