Jack Johnson has announced a date to play at Cornwall's Eden Project. The concert on Saturday 26th June is the first to be revealed for Eden's 2010 summer music programme.
2010 will see a brand new studio album, world tour and a host of festival appearances for Hawaiian Jack Johnson. The album (which is as of yet untitled) will be released worldwide the week of 31st May and will be preceded by a single in May.
Following the release of his new album, Johnson will embark on his first world tour since 2008, which will kick off in Europe beginning June 16th. The tour will be a mix of headline shows at European cities including Cardiff Arena (Tuesday 29th June) and London's O2 Arena (Wednesday 30th June) and festival appearances including Glastonbury Festival, Southside Festival, Hurricane Festival, Rock Werchter, and Roskilde.
Jarko Wieringa, Eden Sessions Creative Director, said, "After last year's amazing Sessions line-up, which many considered the best ever, it is great that we have such a hugely talented artist to kick off 2010. Watch this space - in the coming weeks we have more top names to add to Jack's, guaranteed to make 2010 another vintage year."
He added: "This year's Sessions will be even better value. We are looking at making the whole day of each concert a magical experience of music and art with a real festival party feel."
