One of the biggest rock bands of all time, Guns N' Roses, have been announced for the Sweden Rock Festival.

Guns N' Roses, will bring their 'Chinese Democracy World Tour' to Solvesborg and the Sweden Rock Festival in June. 'Chinese Democracy' was released on Black Frog/Geffen Records in November 2008 and reached 3 times Platinum in Canada, Platinum in Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, UK, Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa.

On this tour, singer/main man Axl Rose is accompanied by long-time keyboardist Dizzy Reed, the latter's fellow ivories tickler Chris Pitman, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarists Richard Fortus, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal and DJ Ashba.

Guns N' Roses last played in Sweden in June 2006, when they sold out the Globe arena in Stockholm.

Latest additions to this year's line-up are guitar legend Gary Moore, and Dirkschneider's U.D.O. who headline on the Wednesay. They join a line-up that includes Slayer, W.A.S.P, Suicidal Tendencies, Nazareth, Bachman & Turner, Danzig, Magnum, Opeth, Behemoth, Rick Springfield, Ratt, Anvil, Stratovarius, Y & T, Raven, Saga, Mother's Finest, Aldo Nova, Sabaton, D-A-D, Unisonic, Jorn, Watain, Bigelf, Alestorm, and Steel Panther, with many more to be confirmed and more than 50 bands left to announce.

The heavy rock festival returns to the northern town of Sölvesborg in Sweden from Wednesday 12th until Saturday 12th June and has reduced in size from 35,200 to 33,000 visitors. Four day tickets with camping are priced at 2390 kr (approx £204), children aged under 13 have free admission as long as they are in the company of a parent/guardian.

It is free entry for children under 13 years of age in the company of a guardian, although it the festival does not recommend that infants attend. To buy tickets, click here.

There are charter flights, as well as rail links to Sweden. From Stockholm there are transfers to Sölvesborg airport, and buses running to the festival from both the train station and the airport.
