Alice Russell, Zion Train, Mark Thomas, and Rory Mcleod lead the first acts to be confirmed for this year's Sunrise Celebration.

Alice Russell, Zion Train, Mark Thomas, Rory Mcleod, Belleruche, Banco De Gaia (DJ Set) and Nucleus Roots are all booked to play the festival which takes place from Thursday 3rd until Sunday 6th June 2010 at an organic farm between Frome and Bruton, in South Somerset.

Also confirmed to play the festival are Sheelanagig, Gentleman's Dub Club, Smerins Anti-Social Club, The Roots Union, ZubZub, The Correspondents, James Monro, Allaby, Tim Healey, King Porter Stomp, Cocos Lovers, Free Peace, Far Too Loud, Laughing Buddha, Lucas, and Chameleon.

This year Sunrise will have eight areas with the Central Hub, Carnival of Life, Village Green, Dance Arena, Universal Mysteries, The Sacred Hearth, Kids Area, and Well-Being zone.

Music and entertainment will take place over ten stages including the 'Spit n Sawdust' outdoor stage (making a return in 2010), Chai Wallahs, The Alchemical Chill - Sunrise Solar Dance Stage, The Bimble Inn, Lost Horizons, Hurly Burly, and Triban.

Featuring a mix of the best in alternative culture, and continually committed to setting new standards in sustainability with an eclectic blend of dub, world, ska, electronica, dub-step, psy trance, breaks, reggae, folk, Balkan beats and more.

New stages include The Zenith Dance Stage, and Pussyfoot Cabaret There will also be authentic carney vibes with The Invisible Circus and fairground rides, Conscious Cabaret, slam poetry, permaculture gardens, alternative technology work shops, solar cinema, sauna, hot tubs, tipi circle, sustainable living talks, workshops, healing sanctuary, central fire, walkabout performance, performance art, non-musical presentations, dress-up mayhem, dance, art installations, Astro speed dating, ethical fashion show, eco innovations, and organic food and drink.

The Happiness Machine will be illuminating the new circus arena by night, all be it in a slightly dark and twisted way, with a spectacular interactive environment and show parodying consumer culture and probing deeply into just what makes us tick.

Parking for cars is £16.50 per car
Campervan tickets are priced at £32.50 per vehicle (A campervan is defined as any vehicle you intend to sleep in for any part of the Festival)

Sunrise has a dedicated kids area, this year it will feature a new climbing wall, swingboats and rides, kids disco, circus and crafts workshops, parades, a maze, outdoor games and more. For the older kids there will be graffiti walls, breakdance, poetry slams, hip hop, circus shows and skills, bushcraft skills and lots more still to be confirmed.

The event will be 100% ecologically powered, with a site-wide organic policy which also applies to alcohol. There are full camping facilities will be available including, showers, chemical & compost toilets.
