Leftfield to headline Relentless Boardmasters

Leftfield have been confirmed as headliners at this summer's Relentless Boardmasters which takes place over five days this year from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th August at a cliff-top location overlooking Watergate Bay, in Cornwall.

They have been away for 10 years but dance legends Leftfield return on Saturday 7th August as headliners at the Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans, as one of only four festival dates this year. Expect all the classics from two of the finest dance albums of the last 20 years, 'Leftism' and 'Rhythm & Stealth'.

Event director, Andrew Topham said of the booking, "After the success of Cypress Hill in 2009, and Groove Armada in 2008, we are really excited about bringing another legendary act to the festival this year. With the rest of the line-up soon to be announced, including a mix of the hottest names in contemporary music and crowd pleasing favourites, this year's Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans could be the best yet."

The Relentless Boardmasters is held on three sites across Newquay offering action sports including surf, skate, bmx, plus daily live music acts and the music festival.

Ticket are priced as follows:
Early bird adult weekend ticket for both days is priced at £54.99 (full price £60)
Early bird adult day tickets for Friday or Saturday £29.99 (full price £35)
An early bird adult charger ticket (for all Beach sessions and both days of the festival) is priced at £89 (full price is £95). Tickets will be available from 9am on 12th March 2010.

This year for the first time there will be official festival camping on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th August situated within throwing distance of the Watergate Bay site.

The event will commence Wednesday 4th August at the Fistral Site with the opening party and the first Beach Session. The trade village will not be open that day. The trade village including the Beach Bar will open Thursday 5th August until Sunday 8th August.

The Relentless Beach Sessions have become one of the most popular events at the RBM. Held at the Fistral Beach Bar, created each year for RBM, music fans can watch established and up and coming acts just a stones through from the sea.

Elsewhere at Fistral is the trade village and a beach bar serving up pints looking over all the action on and around the beach. As evening sets in the bar rearranges itself into a live music venue in the shape of the Beach Sessions.

Fistral is expected to host the surf, skate and BMX competitions on the beach front topped off with live music every night in the Beach Bar. In addition to the cliff tops of Watergate Bay hosting the music festival.
