Slash, The Used, The Damned Things, and Atreyu are amongst the latest acts confirmed for this year's Download festival.

Velvet Revolver
Slash will step onto the Donington Park stage for the first time as a solo artist, and for his UK live solo debut this year. Although he has played the festival (and Donington) before as part of previous bands Guns 'N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.

Also announced today are Utah's The Used, who first played Download five years ago, new rock super group The Damned Things (featuring Anthrax's Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano, Fall Out Boy's Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley and Every Time I Die's Keith Buckley and David Karon), Orange County metalcore gods Atreyu, plus Cancer Bats, and a host of American acts.

The full list of acts confirmed today to play Download festival held over the weekend of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2010 are Slash, The Used, The Damned Things, Atreyu, Cancer Bats, Breed 77, Sweethead, Porcupine Tree, No:Americana, Senser, Halestorm, Nonpoint, As I Lay Dying, Flyleaf, White Wizzard, Zebrahead, Rock Sugar, Michael Monroe, Holy Grail, Straight Lines, Tiger Please, Revoker, Young Guns, Tyketto, Year Long Disaster, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Enuff Z Nuff, Panic Cell, Glamour Of The Kill, and Sybreed.

AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, and Aerosmith all headline, with Them Crooked Vultures, Wolfmother, Bullet For My Valentine, Motorhead, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Volbeat, Stone Sour, Billy Idol, 30 Seconds to Mars, Lamb Of God, Five Finger Death Punch, and Megadeth also confirmed. Weekend arena tickets with camping will be priced at £170, and a weekend only ticket without camping will priced at £140. Lockers in the campsite are priced at £11 with car parking £10 in advance, £20 on the day. A campervan supplement is £40. There will be an additional £10 charge to enter the campsite either on the Wednesday or Thursday.

Day tickets for Download 2010 go on sale from 9am this morning (Tuesday), priced at £75 each.
