The Cribs are to play a special club show at The Great Escape Festival this Thursday 13th May in Brighton.

The four-piece are set to play the NME Stage at The Corn Exchange on Thursday night at 11.30pm following shows by Surfer Blood and Yuck.

The Cribs feature brothers Ryan, Gary and Ross Jarman with new recruit ex- The Smiths guitarist & songwriter Johnny Marr who summed-up his new bandmates best when he said, "They've got the brains of the Buzzcocks, the guts of Nirvana, the fizz of The Ramones... They're the right band for me."

They join the previously confirmed acts including headliners Groove Armada plus Wild Beasts, Codeine Velvet Club, Stornoway, Band Of Skulls, Delphic, Chase & Status, Broken Social Scene, Marina And The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding, Crystal Fighters, Slow Club, Cold Cave, Esben And The Witch, Hurts, Japandroids, Real Estate, Chew Lips, Dead Confederate, and Japanese Voyeur. The Great Escape annually features hundreds of international and UK pop, cutting edge, hip hop, electronic, and rock acts showcased at venues all within a close walk from each other with each venue equipped to an international showcase standard and happens this week from Thursday 13th until Saturday 15th May 2010.

Tickets are priced at £55, and single day tickets are also on sale, Thursday only tickets are priced at £22.50, Friday only tickets are priced at £27.50, and Saturday only tickets are priced at £30.
