The 28 bands that have been chosen for the BBC Introducing Stage at next weekend's Wychwood Festival have been announced.
The acts playing over the weekend will be We Aeronauts, Wes Dance, The Roving Crows, Roundstone, and Barbarix on Friday.
Saturday's line-up features Adelaide's Cape , Elliot Withers, The School, Out Like a Lion, Fixers, Cadets, ute, Oui Messy, Divine Secret, Echo Empire, and Charley Coombes & The New Breed.
Appearing on Sunday will be Daisy Chapman, Matthew Kilford, Aspen Sails, Mechanical Owl, The Jon Trowbridge Band, Thom Kirkpatrick, Spring Offensive, The Bronze Medal, The Scholars, Islet, Babel, and Kill It Kid.
The comedy line-up sees the addition of Christian Steel, and Matt Richardson. The final addition to the Kids Literature Festival has also been announced and is John Dougherty, the author of books such as the Zeus stories, Niteracy Hour, the tales of Monster Investigator Jack Slater, and Bansi O'Hara and the Bloodline Prophecy.
Wychwood also offers a special spot of tranquility, in the Healing Gardens. Relax and chillout, while pampering yourself with one of the wonderful treatments on offer there to help you relax your mind, body and soul. You can choose from Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Holistic Palmistry, Thermo Auricular Therapy (Hopi), Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Osteopathy, Sound Therapy, Swedish Massage, Seated Massage, Thai Massage, and Homeopathy.
Wychwood Festival takes place next weekend from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June 2010 at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Wychwood Festival is a very family-friendly, intimate and inclusive for audience and musician alike, blending world, roots and contemporary music, and encouraging new collaborations. There's also comedy, workshops, and more.
Levellers will headline on Friday, Happy Mondays on Saturday, with Seth Lakeman taking the headline spot on Sunday evening. Joining them are Lightning Seeds, Dreadzone, The South, Kila, Goldheart Assembly, 6 Day Riot, Beth Jeans Houghton, Toumani Diabate, King Creosote, 12 Stone Toddler, One String Loose, Pauline Black, The Travelling Band, The Leisure Society, John Smith, and Adrian Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds, and more. Day tickets are now on sale: Adult tickets are priced at £35 (Friday), £50 (Saturday) and £40 (Sunday). There are also Youth concessions (16 - 18 years) available at £22 (Friday) £37 (Saturday) and £27 (Sunday) and 10 15 year olds tickets are priced at £20 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Under 10's go for free with each adult ticket allowing two free under 10's.
Adult weekend tickets are priced at £110, youth (aged 16-18)/concession weekend tickets are priced at £85, and 10-15 year old weekend tickets are priced at £50 with all children aged under 10 able to attend for free (Max 2 per adult) then £10 for each additional child. Disabled 2 for 1 weekend tickets are priced at £110.
This year Wychwood has introduced a small charge for camping for the concession and adult tickets. A weekend camping pass is priced at £20, a concession/youth weekend camping pass is available at a price of £10. Children under 15 can camp for free, live in vehicle/campervan passes are priced at £40 (in addition to a camping pass for each person).
