Welsh superstar Tom Jones has been announced for Latitude Festival which takes place at Henham Park Estate, Suffolk from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th July 2010.
This album released on the 26th July includes a repertoire that includes American traditional, gospel and country, seeing Tom going back to his roots. Tom Jones says of 'Praise & Blame', "It's food for thought, it's real, it's natural, and in that sense it's truly me."
Warming up for Tom Jones will be Les Clochards.
Other new additions include songwriter David Ford added to the line-up for the Word Arena. The Sunrise Arena will now play host to The Lost Levels, I Blame Coco, and Gentleman's Dub Club.
Whilst playing the Lake Stage will be Boycott Monday, Clare Maguire, Spectrals, The Quails, and Aaron Wright.
Ex-Beta Band songwriter Steve Mason will be performing a very special set at the Film & Music Arena.
The Comedy line-up has been expanded with Stephen K Amos, Kevin Eldon, and Dominic Holland added to the bill.
New additions in the Theatre Area include Box Of Tricks: True Love Waits, with Dance East, Enterplay, After The Beep, Advice Booth, School Sports Day, We are Words and Pictures, Famous Last Words, Mimi Poskitt, Scrabble Sunday, and (ex)sighting announced for Pandoras Playground.
Theatre director Sir Peter Hall who established the Royal Shakespeare Company joins the 'Write To Play' initiative bringing his skills to an eager learning audience, and will also be interviewed by Thea Sharrock in the Literary Salon.
Skint & Demoralised's Matt Abbott is added to the Poetry Arena bill as are John Watterson and Paul Thompson aka The Fake Thackrays who will perform the songs of Jake Thackray.
The Lake Stage will host a variety of DJs across the weekend including John Rostron (DJ set), DJ Felson, and Radio 1 Wales DJ Jen Long.
The four music arenas will play host to more than 100 acts include Obelisk, The Word Arena, Sunrise Arena and The Lake Stage have line-up that includes Florence and The Machine, Belle and Sebastian, and Vampire Weekend headlining, as well as performances by Empire Of The Sun, The National, The xx, Grizzly Bear, The Maccabees, Rodrigo y Gabriela, James, Richard Hawley, The Horrors, Jonsi, Laura Marling, Hockey, Mumford & Sons, Corinne Bailey Rae, with many more acts still to be announced.
