Willy Mason, and Scratch Perverts lead the acts announced for The OX4 Festival which takes place on Saturday 9th October 2010, across multiple venues along the Cowley Road, in Oxford.
Dance fans should head to The Regal to see Scratch Perverts featuring MC Dread top a line-up that includes Toddla T, and MC Serocee as part of the after-party events. Tickets should be £10 but OX4 attendees can purchase a limited number of tickets priced at £7.50.
Organisers have also revealed the Oxford Folk Festival stage will play host to Breton, Dead Jerichos, Huffenpuff, Roxy Brennan, and Steph West with local folk legend John Spiers headlining the stage.
Other special events planned include creating the OX4university, the life of a Record Shop in Oxford for the weekend - from opening party to closing down sale, stocking Cds, DVDs and all sorts of other goodies, and a secret screening of a documentary about the Oxford Music scene called 'Anyone Can Play Guitar'.
The festival showcases an array of local talents emerging in cinema, comedy, poetry, art, theatre and music whilst also showcasing a truly unique part of Oxford - The Cowley Road.
The line-up for the event is headlined by Everything Everything, Abe Vigoda, and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Other acts confirmed to play across the 10 venues at the second year of the event are Crocodiles, The Winchell Riots, Dog Is Dead, Chad Valley, Fixers, Dusty and the Dreaming Spires, Glitches, Boat To Row, The Half Rabbits, and Hreda.
Tickets are just £15 or £12 for those Under 18. Tickets must be exchanged for a truck OX4 wristband on the day from 2pm. This will give you access to everything that's happening, as well as discounts up and down the road over the day. To buy tickets, click here.
OX4 aims to bring OX4rdians together to celebrate where they live and the talented people that live there. It's part of their OX4 neighbours Oxfam, Oxjam campaign. With the Truckers aiming to raise both cash and awareness of their climate change campaign.
As well as musical entertainment there'll be workshops aiming to help Oxford's creative types become "music industry freedom fighters" and introducing them fully to the world of DIY.
