This year's line-up features 24 acts who can boast 180 Top 20 hits, 16 chart toppers and 50 years in the charts between them, and includes a rare appearance from 80s pop legend Holly Johnson and the Village People who will have the entire crowd up on their feet doing the 'YMCA'.

Recently reformed bands Haircut 100, and Fiction Factory join returning Rewind favourites Billy Ocean, Howard Jones, Kim Wilde, and Nik Kershaw.

The acts announced for the Saturday of the event are Holly Johnson, Village People, Billy Ocean, Bananarama, Haircut 100, Howard Jones, Hue and Cry, ABC, Fiction Factory, The Real Thing, The Original Bucks Fizz, and Katrina Leskanich (ex-Katrina and the Waves).

Sunday's confirmed acts are The Human League, Kim Wilde,Ali Campbell's UB40, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat Al McKay, Average White Band, Nik Kershaw, Candi Staton, Go West, Toyah, Captain Sensible, Brother Beyond, and China Crisis.

Promoter David Heartfield said, "Rewind is now the world's biggest 80s music festival and we are thrilled that such legendary British acts as Holly Johnson, The Human League, Average White Band and Ali Campbell's UB40 can be with us this year.

There's a massive and growing interest in everything 80s around the world and this year we have some great acts from America such as the fabulous Village People, Earth, Wind and Fire Experience and Candi Staton. To go with all the festival favourites we are bringing in some fun new facilities such as a cinema, The Groovy Motion Picturehouse, and The Wine Bar which is modelled on those classic wine bars of the 80s.

Last year we expanded our capacity from 30,000 to 40,000 and to keep the unique feel of the festival we have decided not to expand the capacity any further, despite the demand for tickets being huge even though we haven't actually gone on sale yet
."

Billed as a celebration of 80's music and artists returns for its third year to Temple Island Meadows, near Henley On Thames. The festival is due to take place on the weekend of Friday 19th until Sunday 21st August 2011. The festival hopes to attract 40,000 to the riverside location.

The festival will combine popular 80's music with other entertainments including funfairs, fireworks, street entertainers, a Kids Zone, a Big Top Disco, Groovy Movie Picture House, and a Comedy Store Tent.

Although the festival opens on the Friday for camping, concessions, funfair and more, the main stage will only be active on the Saturday and Sunday.
