The bulk of tickets were gone within an hour leaving day tickets and travel packages but these were subsequently snapped up. T in the Park has announced the headliners as Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Foo Fighters together with 45 additional bands also confirmed.

T in the Park strongly advises fans not to buy tickets from any unofficial sources or website auctions, as not only will they have to pay over the odds but there is a high chance that the ticket will not exist or will be a fake.

Geoff Ellis, Festival Director at DF Concerts dsaid, "We are delighted to have an exceptionally strong line-up for 2011 but you can't be complacent, it's still as momentous for us to sell out now as it was the first time around and we're thrilled. It's great to know 85,000 music lovers think we've made the right choices and that they are as excited about the gates opening on 8th July as we are."

There are a very small amount of Residence accommodation packages still available. To buy one of these packages from Ticketmaster click here.

The festival's official transport provider, Citylink, has agreed to freeze its ticket prices this year, allowing festival-goers to make the most of the event.
