Rhythm Festivals 2012 held over the August bank holiday weekend at Mansion House, Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade, in Bedfordshire has announced audacious plan for 2012 with 3 Festivals in 1.

Rhythm Festivals offers three days of three festivals in one plus a host of 'fringe events', will return for its seventh year over August bank holiday, from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th August 2012 at Mansion House, Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade, in Bedfordshire.

Rhythm Festival becomes Rhythm Festivals in 2012, with artists appearing across three areas for the first time offering Rhythm Folk, Rhythm Blues, and Rhythm Roots, plus comedy and "fringe events". There are no acts confirmed yet for 2012.

The three zones will be within one festival site which will be secured at the perimeter. Festival organiser Jim Driver explained exclusively to eFestivals, "There'll be one camping field for everyone and a secure arena containing a communal area accessible by all attendees, containing markets/ caterers, kids' zone and so on. People get into that with all wristbands. Then there will be three distinct arenas leading off this, containing stages and specialist stuff: Main Stage and Folk Club tent in the Folk area for example, plus specialist stalls, accessible by specific wristbands. Security between the arenas will be light and only checking wristbands.

"I think it'll be a great idea as we have a lot of people who always moan that they only want to see folk and not ska and so on... Folk, Blues and the 3rd will be an enhanced version of what we do now. Our aim is to have roughly 60%-70% buying tickets for all zones, as now, but some folk and blues people are notoriously exclusive (in that they don't like some things and will not attend an event because it's there) and I'm trying to make everyone happy and get more in.

"It'll be great and I've already had Jake Riviera think it's a brainwave !"

An early bird adult weekend ticket is priced at £99 between August 29th and September 3rd 2011. After that time a further 500 tickets will be sold, offering access to the entire event for just £99. Camping and accommodation extra.

Tickets will soon be on sale for individual events (probably priced at £60-£75 for the weekend) and there will be a combined pass for all three events costing around the price of two.

Camping and child ticket details have not been completely confirmed but will probably cost the same as 2011: Infants (under 5 years) are free when accompanied by adult ticket-holders.
One child (5-16 years) is free with each adult ticketholder; additional child tickets are available priced at £50.

Day tickets are not yet on sale, and prices have not yet been confirmed.
