Will Young has announced a series of concerts in forests next summer in Nottinghamshire, Suffolk, Gloustershire, Kent, North Yorkshire, Staffordshire, and Cheshire.

Ten years on from winning Pop Idol, Will Young has sold over 9 million records, and had a string of hits including 'Jealousy', 'Leave Right Now', 'Don't Let Me Down / You and I', 'Light My Fire', 'All Time Love', 'Who Am I' and 'Changes'.

Will Young has announced he will be showcasing songs from his albums 'From Now On', 'Friday’s Child', 'Keep On', and his latest 'Echoes' at the following forests:

Friday 15 June Sherwood Pines Forest, Nr Edwinstone, Notts
Saturday 16 June Thetford Forest, Nr Brandon, Suffolk
Friday 22 June Westonbirt Arboretum Nr Tetbury, Glos
Saturday 23 June Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest, Nr Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Friday 29 June Dalby Forest, Nr Pickering, N Yorks
Saturday 30 June Cannock Chase Forest, Nr Rugeley, Staffs
Friday 06 July Delamere Forest, Delamere, Cheshire

Will Young said of the tour, "The forest gigs have a great reputation for their atmosphere so I'm really looking forward to performing my songs in such unique settings."

Tickets will be priced at £35, go on sale at 9am this Friday 16th December, and eFestivals will have tickets to buy them then.

At each location a woodland glade will be temporarily transformed into a concert venue. With full catering and bar facilities, and income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forest for both people and wildlife.

Forestry Commission Live Music introduces some music fans to a woodland environment for the first time. Many of them come back to enjoy the beautiful surroundings for healthy and fun outdoor recreation including walking, mountain biking and watching wildlife.
