To coincide with tickets going back on sale, rapper, songwriter and record producer Dizzee Rascal has been confirmed for this year's Wakestock happening from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th July 2012, once again at Abersoch, North Wales.

Dizzee Rascal
Festival organisers confirmed the news saying, "Dizzee is a Wakestock favourite after paying us a visit back in 2009 where he made the crowd go wild with a set that included smash hits Bonkers and Dance Wiv Me. Everything that this man touches turns to gold from his is debut album, Boy in da Corner, that won him the 2003 Mercury Prize to follow-up albums Showtime, Maths + English and Tongue n' Cheek. All have all been critically acclaimed and certified gold, the last going platinum for sales exceeding 300,000. We can’t wait to welcome him back to North Wales.."

Dizzee is the third headlining act to be announced, with Ed Sheeran, and Calvin Harris also confirmed. More announcements about next year's music line-up and wakeboarding talent will be made soon.

Wakestock offers festival goers free-to-watch wakeboarding by day and music by night. The site overlooks Cardigan Bay and across to Snowdonia and has facilities to entertain over 10,000 people each night. It's right next to the beach, and as well as featuring a competition for the wakeboard title, there are live bands and DJ's to entertain, making for three days of sporting and live music action.

Tickets can be purchased from 9am today, Monday 23rd January. Organisers are freezing the ticket price for 2012 on all of the main ticket options. Prices for the 2012 tickets are listed below – day tickets will go on sale at a later date.

A weekend camping ticket is priced at £125, a weekend ticket without camping will be priced at £100 and a quiet camping option is also available priced at £130, alongside advance car parking at £10.
