Camden Crawl's opening night party will be headlined by Death In Vegas (aka Richard Fearless) at the KOKO on Friday 4th May. The opening night party, ahead of the full two day festival, starts at 5pm, and will feature five live acts and a special edition of Club NME until 4am.

Richard Fearless said, "We're really over the moon to be playing the opening night of this brilliant festival. We're going to bring our full on sonic and visual assault to Koko, our first time playing this amazing venue and first time playing Camden Crawl."

Camden Crawl will happen from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th May, and is spread over a two mile stretch of historic pubs and clubs. In addition to showcasing more than 300 live music acts, other events will include comedy, storytelling & spoken word, fringe theatre, a fanzine, poster and record fair, independent film screenings, outdoor live music stages and more. It also features a variety of outdoor events, an alternative poster, print & record fair as well as interactive fun & games.

Also revealed today are the daytime programme & evening live music curators. The evening line-ups (the festival runs until 4am) are selected by a committee of music industry tastemakers, including radio DJs, club promoters, journalists and record labels. In addition to the live music schedule, the festival boasts an extensive arts festival throughout each day of the event. From midday to 6:00pm, the confirmed programme for the 2012 daytime fringe includes events from various disciplines, including comedy, storytelling & spoken word, unconventional theatre, craft, visual art and traditional music. It also features a variety of outdoor events, an alternative poster, print & record fair as well as interactive fun & games.

Live music events will include DJ Abrantee's Afro Beats, Andy Ross Presents, Nihal's Bombay Bronx, Caught In The Crossfire, Fence Records, The Flowerpot Collective, For Folk's Sake, The Nest Collective, Swn Festival, This Is Fake DIY, and John Kennedy's Xposure.

Venues hosting this year's Camden Crawl are Abbey Tavern, Barfly, Black Cap, Black Heart, Camden Gardens, Camden Head, Camden Rock, The Cuban, Dingwalls, Earl Of Camden, Electric Ballroom, Enterprise, Grand Union, Heroes, Jazz Café, KOKO, Monarch, Purple Turtle, The Roundhouse, St Michael’s Church, Underworld, and The Wheelbarrow.

The venues & club nights will be curated by 1234, Artrocker, Backstreet, Big Cheese Magazine, Club Fandango, Drowned In Sound, Fact, Fear & Records, Flowerpot Collective, Lantern Society, Last.Fm, Lift Off, The Local, Mistajam, Moda, Moshi Moshi Records, Nialler9 Vs. On The Record, Old Blue Last Presents, Rockfeedback, Rough Trade Shops, Rwd Magazine, Sexbeat, Summer Sundae Weekender Sway, Urban Nerds, and The Weird & The Wonderful.

This year's comedy & spoken word will be hosted by The 99 Club, Art History In The Pub, Crack Comedy, Fat Tuesday, Gag Reflex, Get Comedy, Homework, Knock2bag, Lolitics, and Really Lovely Comedy.

Performing arts & exhibitions over the weekend include High Hoops Hoolafest, Hip Hop Shakespeare, International Alternative Press Festival, The Lexington Record Fair, London Swing Dance Society, Poster Roast, Ross Lee’s Horace Fingernips, and State Of Craft.

As usual the festival will also offer games & interactive events, this year's have been confirmed as Hip Hop Karaoke, Karauke, Moshi Moshi Pop Quiz, Musical Bingo, Rough Trade Shops Pop Quiz, and Who Killed Bambi?

The all important live music line-up will be announced next month.

Weekend passes for the Camden Crawl, and the Opening Night Party featuring Death In Vegas are now on sale. A 2-day (Saturday & Sunday) tickets are priced at £67.50, while 3-day tickets which includes the opening night (Friday) at Koko are priced at £77.50. A ticket for just the opening night at Koko is priced at £20.
