An official announcement also confirms other new line-up additions as The Horrors, Crystal Castles, Katy B, Example, Spector, and Thee Brandy Hips.

Earlier today a financial news website (here) revealed that these acts would be announced this morning.

Mancunians New Order formed from the remains of Joy Division following the death of singer Ian Curtis in 1980, went on hiatus between 1993 and 1998, and broke up in 2007. Frontman Bernard Sumner and drummer Stephen Morris have been playing in new outfit Bad Lieutenant with guitarist Phil Cunningham and bassist Tom Chapman, and now return with a new line-up featuring fourth original member (and Morris's wife) keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, but not New Order bassist Peter Hook.

Expect a set-list of hits including 'Temptation', 'Blue Monday', as well as classic songs from Joy Division such as 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'. Vince Power, festival organiser commented: "New Order join an already great confirmed line-up for FIB Festival, Benicassim. I am confident that the festival will appeal to a huge range of music fans across Europe."

They join the previously announced headliners The Stone Roses, plus Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Vaccines, Miles Kane, Bombay Bicycle Club, Cooper, Department S, and Los Tiki Phantoms, no other acts have been confirmed yet for 2012.
