Skatalites, DJ Hype + Daddy Earl, Peatbog Faeries, and Red Snapper top the acts confirmed for this year's Knockengorroch World Ceilidh.

Also announced today are Baka Beyond, Utah Saints, The Destroyers, The Shee, Rua MacMillan, Moulettes, Monster Ceilidh Band, Diwan, The Whisky Riverboat Band, Auntie Flo, Sketch, The Banana Sessions, Stanley Odd, The Mike Kearney Ka-Tet, Mungo's Hi Fi Sound System, Morphamish, and Mezzanine Allstars feat. Papa Zeb.

The four day festival Galloway valley festival held from Thursday 31st May until Sunday 3rd June 2012 will also play host to Colonel Mustard and Dijon Five, Club Samedia, Bobok, Will Hanson, Pumajaw, Grandma Staflash & The Furious Grandads, The Monks, Sir Vinyl of the Fattest, Kuchke, Junkman's Choir, Rose Room, Astroboy, Tetchi, Banda 71, Bristol Branch, and Anonymi.

Festival director Liz Holmes said, "We're a big festival in a small pot, and the diversity and range in our line-up certainly reflects that. Our line-up includes some of the most established roots acts in the world alongside some of the newest, creating a fresh programme with someone for everyone!"

The festival held at Knockengorroch farm, Carsphairn, Kirkubrightshire, in Scotland will feature musicians from around the world heading for the far flung location, and the programme will also include arts, crafts and dance workshops, spoken word, comedy, performance art, installations, walkabout theatre, fire shows and kids activities.

Liz Holmes continued "the festival is open to all ages and persuasions. There is something for everyone! We've got so much going on, including dedicated children's workshops, early morning yoga sessions, a cinema and sauna, good food, real ales, fire sculptures and even dog Awards!"

An early bird adult ticket is priced at £87 for 4 days, £74 for 3 days; Children tickets (11-15 years) are priced at £44 for 4 days, £39 for 3 days. Vehicle passes: (up to 1 tonne) £14, vehicle pass (1-3 Tonnes) £19 (including caravans towed by car/van), vehicle pass (over 3 Tonnes) £24.
