Eye O The Dug 2012
Saturday 14th to Sunday 15th April 2012various venues St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland, Scotland
£45 for the weekend
Daily capacity: 1,000
King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, KT Tunstall, and Hot Chip lead the first acts announced for Eye O The Dug taking place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April 2012, at various venues in St. Andrews, Fife, in Scotland.
The festival will see King Creosote & Jon Hopkins performing their Mercury-nominated album Diamond Mine in full, its first ever performance in Fife.
Also confirmed are KT Tunstall, Hot Chip with a live set by Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard, and a DJ set, Django Django, Pictish Trail, Errors, Dutch Uncles, Francois & The Atlas Mountains, Withered Hand, Conquering Animal Sound, RM Hubbert, James Yorkston, Seamus Fogarty, Rozi Plain, and Kid Canaveral.
The name comes from the fact that on a map, the county of Fife is shaped like a Scottie dog's head with St Andrews being 'the eye', so to speak. The actual term 'Eye O' The Dug' was coined by musicians Lone Pigeon and King Biscuit Time, and was immortalised in a song of the same name. And yes, the song is about St Andrews.
The music will start early evening on Saturday 14th, and go on until late then there'll be an all-day bash on the Sunday, from 1pm until 11pm.
Tickets are priced at £45 for a weekend pass, or £35 for students. To buy tickets, click here.
This event is for over 16s only.
