Brazilian bossa nova legend Sergio Mendes & his orchestra lead's the first acts announced for Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway's Vintage Festival which will take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2012 at the stately home of the Boughton Estate in Northamptonshire.

Other live acts include Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Nouvelle Vague performing 'Dawn Of Innocence', Aloe Blacc, Baxter Dury, Buster Shuffle, Soul legend Betty Wright, Alice Russell, St Etienne, and The Swing Out Sister Big Band the 80s pop legends bring 'Breakout', 'Am I the Same Girl?' and 'Surrender' with a big band sound.

Wayne Hemingway said, "Vintage is back and bigger than ever for 2012. We're going to create a mecca for everyone to come and celebrate the 'Best of British' culture and want the UK to join us.

"This summer is the 'summer of culture' for the UK with events such as the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Cultural Olympiads. I'm really looking forward to Vintage this July to see everyone glammed up and hunting for those vintage finds in our enormous Vintage Marketplace and outlasting each other on the dancefloors of our six brilliant designed nightclubs."

As well as live performances, Vintage 2012 will offer complementing DJ line-up with a one-off chance to see iconic DJ's performing together - see the line-up below, dance lessons from across the decades, and a roller disco.

The nightclubs line-ups so far confirmed include:

Torch Club – 1920s-40s entertainment with Ondrej Havelka & His Swing and Jazz Orchester Melody Makers, James Langton, Jivin Miss Daisy and dozens more of the world's most authentic performers all curated by Snowboy.

Let It Rock - Brings rock culture with The Damned, The Polecats, Alien Sex Fiend, and DJs Keb Darge, Gaz Mayall, and Jay Strongman. Hosted by leading brands such as Gaz's Rocking Blues, Shake, Rattle & Bowl and Lady Luck.

Leisure Lounge – Taking us back to the 60s is Buddy Greco, Secret Affair, The Sorrows, The Mike Flowers Pops, plus sessions curated by Guilty Pleasures, Club De Fromage, Count Indigo and a DJ set from Martin Green.

Soul Casino – 60s and 70s northern soul, funk disco and reggae sounds feature live performances from The Impressions, Junior Murvin performing 'Police & Thieves', Lonnie Liston Smith, Smoove and Turrell, and iconic Soul Casino DJs performing exclusively together Searling & Roberts from the Wigan Casino and Levine & Curtis from the Blackpool Mecca, as well as DJ sets from Don Letts, Craig Charles and The Soul Casino's curator Eddie Piller and more.

Warehouse Party – Bringing the 80s rave, house and boogie culture to Boughton Estate will be DJs Norman Jay, Danny Rampling, Horse Meat Disco, Greg Wilson, Terry Farley, Graeme Park, DJ Milo, Sub Club vs Back to Basics and dozens more.

Vintage is the brainchild of designers Gerardine and Wayne Hemingway. The family friendly festival is a celebration of creative British cool from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s with music, fashion, art, design, style, film, food celebrated across the decades.

With the Hemingway's involved you can be sure of Catwalk shows, The Vintage High Street with bars & brands, hair and beauty makeovers, 250 vintage fashion and mid-century modern homeware sellers, and 45 fashion and upcycling workshops.

Festival goers can expect the vintage theme to include classic cars, campers and caravans on display, and art and design schools for all the ages and abilities, as well as the Bad Art Salon showcasing unusual art and Pop Goes the Easel, the 60s Art School.

Plus food and cocktails, classic films, inspired family activities, 'The Chap Olympiad', the Bicycle Bazaar, Future Vintage, The Vintage Funfair, Wall of Death will camping and glamping options available.

The iconic British designers in a join venture with MAMA Group are moving the festival to the new site to allow more people in the UK to experience the event. The Hemingway's also want to involve more local businesses and community groups across the country in the festival and is encouraging people to bring their vintage contributions to the event.

Tickets are priced at £139 for weekend adult camping, £89 for weekend young person camping, £125 for weekend non-camping and £75 for weekend young person non-camping. A campervan ticket is priced at £65. Deposit tickets are also available priced at £69.50 with camping or £62.50 without camping. Children, up to and including 10 years old, go free.
